GingerLove among the stars
The last few years were very exciting for GingerLove. Our frothy ginger tea is finding its way to many incredible locations and stores in numerous countries. But GingerLove is also becoming famous among the stars! It’s been such a pleasure to surprise celebrities with our spicy and energizing GingerLove tea. We’ve delighted them with a simple cup of hot GingerLove or have prepared a special cocktail or GingerLove mix for them.
An extra hydrating anti hangover cocktail, for example. Alain came up with this interesting mix of coconut water and GingerLove for the world famous DJ Tiesto. Tiesto played at the Tomorrowland festival in the summer of 2011 and had requested bottles of coconut water to be available. The organization discovered it’s not that easy to find a large quantity of coconut water in Belgium and asked our vegetarian restaurant Lombardia for help. We always have plenty of coco water in stock and came to the rescue.
Why not surprise DJ Tiesto with an interesting GingerLove mix, Alain thought. He came up with the anti hangover cocktail for DJ Tiesto and delivered the special mix for Tiesto himself (along with the many bottles of coconut water). Curious about this extra hydrating cocktail? DJ Tiesto wasn’t the only artist discovering GingerLove at Tomorrowland. Alain also met Maxi Jazz, the singer of the famous dance act Faithless. Alain prepared a Lombardia surprise box with lots of healthy food for the artists of Faithless. Singer Maxi Jazz fell in love with our ginger tea instantly. He enjoyed a hot cup of GingerLove in his hotel room while listening to Michael Jackson and preparing for his performance.
Earlier that summer, at the Afro Latino festival in Bree, an English band XOVA was given some of our GingerLove tea and the singers of the group simply loved it. Since then, the band has requested a cup of GingerLove so often their manager emailed us for help: he was having a hard time finding enough GingerLove in his area. It’s no coincidence the singers of XOVA like GingerLove so much, though.
Ginger is known to be an excellent treat for your vocal cords. Singers love GingerLove because it helps them warm their voice quickly and pleasantly. Even Sting, one of the biggest stars, says ginger is so efficient in helping to warm up his voice, he only needs 20 minutes instead of 30 to prepare for a performance. One of our own local tv stars, Nele Goossens, also loves GingerLove. She drinks one cup of GingerLove before every show or performance.
The Islandic musician Jonsi normally doesn’t eat or drink anything hot. He only eats cold, raw vegan food and EMI Belgium asked Alain to cook for Jonsi. But after a cold photo shoot, outside in the snow, the Islandic artist came back inside and said: “Even though I am a raw vegan, now I really do want to try your HOT GingerLove!” Alain made him a cup and Jonsi ended up really loving our frothy ginger tea.
Sometimes the stars surprise us by contacting us out of the blue to let us know how much they love GingerLove. Ex model and Hollywood wife star Astrid Bryan posted a message on our Facebook wall saying she loves our ginger tea. We are really happy to hear from GingerLove fans, famous or not so famous, and are grateful for every single one of you.
